It’s time to level up your improv. In this ultimate 8-week seminar you will break through your creative boundaries.

Explore an innovative longform structure directed by instructor  Rachel Michaela. Each student will receive personalized coaching tailored to amplify their unique strengths and skills. In this seminar you will build upon your mastery of game, develop memorable and sustainable characters, craft seamless initiations, intuit razor-sharp editing, and confidently fulfill comedic beats for an epic longform set. Remember: Fear is the enemy. You’ve honed your skills. Now, shatter the glass ceiling and play with some finesse.

In this 8-week course, you will explore the craft of longform improv — built on grounded, authentic two-person scenes inside of an emotionally sound base reality. That means making the who, what, and where of the scene true and playing it real. Ensemble in improv is created with intuitive scene edits and fun support work like tag outs and walk-ons. Learn to start playing with premise, discover your character range, be courageous in your scene initiations, calibrate your editing, take the struggle out of revisiting comedic beats, and find the joy in improv. Led by instructor  Rachel Michaela.

Intro to Longform Improv (8 weeks in Albuquerque)

Learn the cornerstones of longform improv: grounded, authentic two-person scenes that exist inside of an emotionally-sound base reality. In this course, students will learn how to find the who, what, and where of a scene (a base reality) and sustain authentic relationships to characters and environment. In short, students will learn how to make things true and play them real. We will also be introducing classic scene edits and fun support work within a larger ensemble. All experience levels are welcome. Led by instructor Rachel Michaela.
